What’s an appropriate amount of money to spend on groceries in Manhattan for 3 roommates?
Friday, November 13th, 2009Starting in September two roommates and I will be living in Manhattan on about $220/week each. We’ve looked at some apartments and found that shares are about $500/month, so that leaves us with about $380/month for everything else. Assuming we eat at home most nights and avoid extravagances, how much money would we generally be spending on groceries a week?
I don’t know prices in manhattan but in the San Francisco Bay Area, I spend $150.00 per week for 7 people.
