How can I bring my bicylce into Manhattan on the weekend?
Friday, February 12th, 2010I live across the Hudson in Rockland county and want to bring my bicycle into manhattan, specifically to Battery Park on a Sunday for a fund raising ride, and don’t want to drive in and park. Also, my legs can’t take riding all the way from Rockland 
I was wondering if there are any public transportation options. Thanks!
Yes there are. You can take your bike on Metro North on non-peak hours. You will need to go to Grand Central and buy a bike permit for the train first though. I think it costs around $5 but it’s good for a year.
